Building Bridges from Nagoya to Austin and Beyond
January 31, 2026 — Nagoya, Japan
3P Ventures recently joined TechGALA Japan (January 27–29, 2026), an event that has solidified its place as the primary entry point for the Central Japan startup ecosystem.
Rather than sticking to formal tracks, we spent our time on the floor at STATION Ai, connecting directly with founders. Our goal was to go beyond the pitch deck—learning about new products firsthand and discussing the real-world problems these startups are solving across Mobility, Life Sciences, and Advanced Tech.

High-Signal Connections:
Congratulations to the Grand Pitch Winner: A huge congratulations to UnitX Inc. for taking first place in the Grand Pitch 2026. Their AI-powered visual inspection systems for manufacturing are a perfect example of the high-utility "deep tech" we look for—addressing critical quality and yield gaps in the automotive and battery sectors.
The Austin-Nagoya Bridge: We had a productive connection with Peter Kirby (Partner at ATX Venture Partners), a seasoned investor with deep roots in the Austin, Texas ecosystem. We are exploring future collaborations to help Japanese startups expand globally by opening doors to the high-growth Austin market.
Design as Innovation: It was a pleasure to hear from Sofya Abramchuk (CEO & Founder of Originate Institute). Her insights on the "Origin8" method and regenerative design reinforced a key 3P belief: the best companies are built on human-centric innovation and sustainable philosophy.
Meeting the faces behind these companies reminded us why we do what we do. We’ve come away with a shortlist of startups that exemplify the "venture-ready" mindset we prioritize.
To the organizers and the founders who shared their time with us: thank you for three days of high-signal conversations. We’re already looking forward to the follow-ups.
